WARSTORY: As a SEN Supervisor I was not authorized a driver. So I pulled a Trooper from one of the SEN Teams Roosevelt Wilson, RIP was my driver. A HUMMV’s batteries are under the passenger seat so I never had to think about it. We’re in Saudi we’re riding Desert Shield; we did a lot of highway and desert miles every day. My ass is on fire! I feel the seat and it’s hot as hell—duh—batteries are under it. I sat on my flak vest and it was still hot! I told Roosevelt to stop at this little Saudi store where I purchased a pillow. IT WAS STILL HOT! The Syrian Army was next to one of our flanks and they had Soviet equipment so they had to move because the 1st Cavalry would kill anything Soviet. We came across one their sites and they left a lot Arab pillows—I duct taped three of them; my ass was cool.
