WAS IT A CUNNING GAME RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING…………….? While the entire HRD ministry is busy promoting Sanskrit, 37% of faculty posts of 16 IITs are lying vacant, according to the data compiled by the HRD ministry itself. In a bid to garner votes BJP has been promising and establishing IITs, left right and centre without a road-map as to how necessary infrastructure will be cobbled up. Not deterred by dismal state of affairs of existing IITs, in November alone, the NDA government has announced setting up of new IITs in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Chattisgarh and Jammu. In fact, this stupidity has been behind most of Mr. Modi’s u-turns. He made ambitious poll promises without a clue as to how he would deliver them. He raised expectations to dizzying heights without a strategy to meet those expectations. Election 2014 has proved to be a cruel joke on the Indian public, right from the beginning.
