WASO BOYS FIASCO Tumbling with challenges after the school was announced bankrupt and students strike ensuing, the institution has never come back to its feet despite series of stakeholders crisis meeting. Of the 320 students sent home after the strike, only 180 managed to come back. Last evening, a small group of truant suspended students, made their way to the school and destroyed electricity system of a dormitory and removing all bulbs and fluorescent tubes sending the block in pitch darkness. That resulted to a few boarding in the block to relocate to Form I classroom for lodging evacuating the dormitory fearing the unknown! Again after a World Cup match, they came back to find their mattresses soaked in petrol ready to be set ablaze. This is causing tension in the entire school. We pleaded with some school staff and PTA chairman to seek assistance from the OCS and D.O for security amidst the standoff as we seek amicable solution once and for all.
