WATCH: Farm evictions in South Africa remain a sensitive and hotly debated issue. Earlier this week Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa angered organised agriculture by announcing an immediate ban on legal and illegal farm evictions. Ramaphosa announced the moratorium after he and a delegation of senior ministers met for hours with farm labour representatives in Paarl in the Western Cape. The discussion was part of an on-going dialogue to find solutions to problems in the agriculture industry. Tensions are said to be running high on farms, especially in the Western Cape following recent farm worker evictions.
