WATER DOWN IN DENNEOORD The George Municipalitys Director for Civil Engineering, Harold Basson has advised that the water supply to a portion of Denneoord has been shut down following complaints of dirty water. Repair teams are currently assessing the Water Treatment Works, as it would appear that this is the source of the problem. The area currently without water runs from the Water Treatment plant to 8th Avenue. Water trucks are available for residents to collect water (please take your own container): one is located in front of the Bergsig Retirement Village on the corner of Wellington Street and 8th Avenue; the second is located on Dennegeur Lane. A water trailer will be placed on the corner of 9th and 6th Avenue. The George Municipality apologizes for the disruption and assures residents that the problem is being addressed as quickly as possible.
