WATER IS THE KEY TO LIFE Today, the general consensus reached amongst scientists is that all life came from the sea; ie; aquatic. It has only in the past 50 years that scientists have discovered that every living organism was created from water. The human body itself is made up of over 70% water. However, this scientific fact was mentioned in the Quran 14 centuries ago where Allah states; “And We have made from water every living thing. Will they (mankind) not then believe? (21:30). The above statement that water is an essential element for life is further elaborated on in another verse. “ And Allah has created every animal from water; of them there are some that creep on their bellies; some that walk on two legs; and some that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills; For verily Allah has power over all things. ” ( 24:45 ). Who could have informed us of this scientific fact; that EVERY living organism was created from water if not from a divine source? “ There are signs for people who use their intellect ” ( 45:5 ).
