WATER SAMPLE SITE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. The Water Department is looking for thirty homeowners to participate in our Lead/Copper Sampling Program for drinking water. Potential homes used for testing should be built prior to 1987, or have a lead water service line entering the basement. Homes with water softeners are disqualified unless they have a hard water by-pass to the kitchen faucet. There is no charge for this service and the City will provide a $20.00 credit on water bills to those who participate in the testing program.
