WATERS FARM RIDE HAS BEEN CANCELLED!!! The Manchoag Lake Association, new owners of Hillock Farm, has withdrawn their permission to use the trail that connects Waters Farm and the Douglas State Park trail system. Their reason...the horses will have a negative impact on the ecosystem of the surrounding wet lands and lake. We have used this same trail for the past 30+ years and there has never been a negative impact on anything!!! The saddest part of all, not only has this ride had to be cancelled, BUT THERE WILL NO FUTURE RIDES OUT OF WATERS FARM!!!! It must be nice to be able to donate millions of dollars to the Lake Assoc. to purchase this property then destroy a relationship that has been going on for years!
