WC RACE REPORT - W Racing - FORT WILLIAM After a long winter and a lot of waiting this world cup season is finally under way for us. A bit of overnight rain made Robin and Marcus eager to get the practice going this morning. Marcus was first out with a pretty steady start to his race-run but further down he got a bit tight and lost his rythm which made the bottom a bit of a struggle. An 18th place is something he will be looking to improve on next weekend in Leogang. I was happy with my riding this weekend but I didnt quite put it together in my race run so I have to do a bit of homework before next weekend. was Marcus words on his race-weekend. After a mechanical in his seeding Robin was eager to improve for the finals. He made a few big changes during morning practice and in the end made the quick decision to ride Niklas race-bike for the finals. With just a few riders to go before his start it began to rain on the top which was a bit un-welcome and Robin rode the top of the track pretty tight with a few slips in the beginning of the track that slowed him down a bit. A 46th place is nothing that Robin will be happy with but sometimes its better to be safe then sorry. Robin commented on the race: I learned a lot of things about the bike and myself this weekend even though the race-result was completely unacceptable I feel like my riding is better and Im confident we can improve for next weekend. Despite not getting the results we wanted this weekend we learned a lot, had a lot of fun and are really looking forward to the world cup in Leogang next weekend and hopefully Niklas will be back on the bike.
