WCHE NEWS - Former West Goshen Township Supervisor Edward Meakim - TopicsExpress

WCHE NEWS - Former West Goshen Township Supervisor Edward Meakim is rejoining the board. Supervisors tonight voted 3-1 to appoint Meakim to fill the vacancy left by the death of Dr. Robert White. Phil Corvo cast the lone vote of dissent. Supervisors also announced the hiring of Derek Davis as Assistant Township Manager. Davis previously served as assistant to State Representative Dan Truitt. In other township news, supervisors originally planned to discuss public utility amendments to the township zoning ordinance, but removed it from the agenda. Attorney Skip Brion said it was his “recommendation to remove it from the agenda because it is too close to the public hearing”. A public hearing on the ordinance is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 5:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. 3C Coalition Director Tom Casey will be on Frankly Speaking tomorrow to discuss what the ordinance could mean for the fight against Sunoco’s Mariner East pipeline project in the township.
