Community Day Center is a small organization, with a large mission. AS MANY OF YOU KNOW, we have purchased a new building on Felton Street in downtown Waltham. With strong support from the community, the mayor, and the City Council, the Day Center plans to expand services at this new location. This move fulfills a dream for us of having a “home” where we can provide more services to more people in need of a safe and secure place to be. This spring, we begin our construction project, now in the permitting phase. WE HAVE A DILEMMA. The cold winter has put a strain on our Operating Budget, and at the same time, we need to raise an additional $70,000 to close out the Capital Campaign for our construction project. We normally ask our supporters for donations in the spring, and this year we need you more than ever! Many of our supporters have already doubled their efforts to close this gap. CAN WE ASK A LITTLE MORE OF YOU TOO? If ever we needed your help it is now. Your donation to our operating budget helps us continue the services we offer to those in need - counseling, housing placement, medical and legal referral, and a home off of the street.
