WE Are Not Fools amosu in 2011 promised oou students that he will reduce our fees and students took to the polls to support him. but instead of doing that he increased it and a gave a false excuse that the deficit he met w on ground was high..now he announced another fake reduction in tuition fee to take effect nxt year February(During / after we reelect him)..and expect us (OOU students) to believe that after his previous fake promise,God forbid!!!!!!amosu came to address students at oke mosan claiming he was nt aware that oou student were in their 2013/2014 session which is a BIG LIE,but let even say it is true, he asked for one week to consult and rectify things and we thought dt he was going to do the right thing(I.e. honoring the name and legacy of the great OBAFEMI AWOLOWO who is a native of Ogun state)but instead what did we got; we got irrelevant claims of the fact that he cannot implement the reduction now because there would be a deficit f around 2bn,my question is if he cant do what his distinguished Excellency Fashola SAN did in Lagos for us now, then how will he impement it next yr wen he must av spent all the money on REELECTION;to worsen the situation, we got another undemocratic act frm a democratic government. Amodu shut the school gate saying he was doing so in the interest of peace after he and his government faked claims of students damaging vehicles(vehicles they cannot produce), saddens even more that the government were so clueless that all they could think of next is to make an attempt to proscribe our union,I dare any oouite to pick up amosus caretaker committee role and see how fierce students would be at him or her...In the minds of all OOUITES,progressive students all over the world, and the majority of the resident Ijebu community members including the ordinary motorcyclist, AMOSUs three years has been nothing but DECEIT... if he continues this undemocratic battle with students, then I can guarantee him that he should be ready to share the fate of Gov KAYODE FAYEMI Because its not the roads and bridges that would vote for him, it is the people...its not too late for him to amend his ways though and take the glory of a democratic governor but if he refuses..we will meet come February 2015 in the same spirit with that of the EKSU students who patiently voted THEIR governor out of power..we oouites wont mind even if the other gubernatorial contestants are criminals. the gospel would be nothing but AMOSU Must GO.OOUITES ARE NOT FOOLS.and cant be fooled.
