WE COULD say that a dog is the embodiment of impulse/desire. Like a blood hound when it gets on the trail of something, it becomes very difficult to brake them off of their scent track , its equally challenging for us to stop our lower impulsive patterns. Ive noticed in me that this Animal/Self is at times , Awake or Asleep. What do you notice in you ? Can you stop smoking halfway thru your cigarette? Have you ever paused for a minute while in the middle of your meal? Do you always have a cup of coffee in your hand? Do you have to always defend yourself in conversation? Just noticing these things is enough to get started. Fighting this stuff is not a good idea , Itll fight back. Just notice, and of course , gird your loins and keep your lamp lit (be still and watch) From the center of the worm hole --John--
