WE DID IT!!! Many thanks to all who generously contributed to our Flares for 1st Responders fundraiser, and to WDSU for helping to increase awareness concerning the dangers that our local EMTs, firefighters and police officers routinely face while handling traffic accidents at night. In all, we raised $1590... almost $400 over our goal!!! Im very glad for that too... as the extra money will allow us to buy even MORE flares, allowing us to keep 1st responders stocked for an even LONGER period of time! Again... MANY THANKS to everyone who got involved. Not only have many 1st responders asked me to pass on their heartfelt thanks... but Ive also been contacted by a few mammas and spouses who also greatly appreciated all of our support.
