WE HAVE A NEW CHALLENGE FROM DR. ROBERT GRIFFON OF FRIENDSWOOD, TX - $2500 MATCH DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR! TO ALL: We have met the very generous $5000 challenge of Mrs. Betty Mann of Friendswood, TX. That money was earmarked for the SECURITY SYSTEM for Confederate Circle. We have met with the security systems man & the ball is now rolling toward having the security system purchased and installed. Now, we have had another challenge donation made by Dr. Robert Griffon of Friendswood, TX...a match dollar for dollar challenge of $2500. For every dollar that is donated, Dr. Griffon will match that donation...this also includes the purchase of pavers...he will match those purchases as well...the pavers are $50 each. Several chapters/camps have already bought pavers for their chapters/camps namesake....thank you all sooo much for your support of our project here in Selma to protect, preserve and defend our Southern History & Heritage! The Selma project is probably the most paramount/monumental project going on in recent years...other than Point Lookout Confederate Memorial Park in Point Lookout, Maryland...most importantly because we had to fight for our Constitutional rights through a FEDERAL lawsuit and we have won! We have won over our adversaries...including the city government of Selma...the civil rights hot pot of the world...we have won in their own territory and the constitution has prevailed for us...FINALLY!
