WE HAVE AN UPSATE ON BABY JOSEPH WHO WAS ABANDONED IN WORCESTER A - TopicsExpress

WE HAVE AN UPSATE ON BABY JOSEPH WHO WAS ABANDONED IN WORCESTER A FEW WEEKS AGO Via West Mercia Police Forgive us for a slightly longer post than usual, but we want to give you an update on the baby Joseph inquiry; we now believe we have identified his mother, thanks to help from the public. Joseph was found abandoned in a Hessian bag on the doorstep of a home in Lower Wick, Worcester, last month. He was thought to be around 24 hours old at the time. A number of calls from members of the public led detectives to identify a woman in her 30s from Worcester. She was arrested yesterday along with a man in his 30s, both on suspicion of child neglect. They were questioned at length and were released on police bail late yesterday pending further inquiries. We are now continuing our enquiries to determine if the people arrested have behaved in a criminal manner and whether it is in the public interest to prosecute. We know this case raises lots of interest and emotions - you helped share our previous Facebook posts to more than a quarter of a million users - but please be very careful in your comments. We will remove postings that could be considered prejudicial to any possible court proceedings and ask people to follow our general house rules for posting on this page (see the About link above for more details). On a happier note, baby Joseph continues to thrive with care he is being given.
