WE MUST BE BOLD As children of the Most High God, despite all - TopicsExpress

WE MUST BE BOLD As children of the Most High God, despite all the waves of the seas, global warming, the hurricanes, earthquakes, and global economy to mention a few; we do have assurance that we are protected. The Prophet Isaiah gives us reasons why we must always believe that our Redeemer has assured us of impenetrable protection. Let us look at how the Prophet puts it; ‘1. But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee (Isaiah 43:1-2). You may need to study the entire book of Isaiah 43. The enemy uses our past mistakes and things that we’re not sure of to wage war against us. The greatest weapon that he uses (the enemy) is our past mistakes. He makes us to think that we’re too covered in sin that God has abandoned us hence we some times feel dejected and downcasted. Before we think along with the enemy next time, let us always remember this; ‘I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins (Isaiah 43:25). When God forgives sin/sins it becomes past before God and He no longer remembers them or thinks about them. John 10:10 should give us the boldness to stand against the enemy net time that he comes accusing and reminding of our past. Apostle Paul our greatest minister (to we the gentiles) in Ephesians3:12 & 20 has this to say; ‘12. In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. 20. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.’ Our boldness is in Christ Jesus and He is always ready to do as we ask as long as we are asking according to His will. In Romans 8:15 the Apostle reminds us why we should not fear. My friend you know, Moses at the bank of the red sea with the Egyptians approaching to take the Israelites back to Egypt told his people this; ‘And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever (Exodus 14:13).’ The Lord says something like this in Isaiah 41:10; ‘Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.’ PRAYER POINT: ‘1. O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways (Psalm 139:1-3). Preserve me dear Lord no matter how I used to think in the past. Do not allow me to listen to the enemy’s voice but to focus on you in Jesus name. Thank you Lord for I ask through your grace to me through Christ Jesus my Lord and Saviour… Amen.
