WE NEVER DOUBTED @BUKOLASARAKI’S LEADERSHIP QUALITIES – SHONGA RESIDENTS Politicians in Shonga District comprising Shonga Ward1, II and III in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State have expressed their unaltered support to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, saying that they have no doubt the party would still be in charge of the state after the 2015 election. Politicians, consisting of men, women and youths of the area, also expressed their continuous support to the party Leader in the state; SENATOR BUKOLA SARAKI and GOVERNORR ABDULFATAH AHMED, adding that the latter’s qualities could be attested to throughout the federation. Speaking with newsmen shortly after addressing thousands of APC members during a meeting held in Shonga at the weekend, a retired Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Salihu Musa, insisted that no single opposition existed in the whole district, therefore they are adequately prepared should the election comes up tomorrow. Musa, who is the APC Leader in the area added that the people of the emirate have been known to always support the SARAKI dynasty, noting that come rain or shine they would remain solid behind the senator. On the meeting, he explained that the meeting became imperative in order to sensitise their people, particularly towards the forthcoming election to ensure the party record landslide victory. Also speaking, the State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Alhaji Abdullahi Shaba Umar, noted that the meeting afforded them opportunities to rub minds with their people and fashion out ways to address their challenges. Umar urged Nigerians to be prepared to vote out the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) come February elections if the nation truly desire to witness positive change in the nooks and crannies of the country. Earlier, when the party stalwarts paid courtesy visit to the Emir of Shonga, Dr. Haliru Yahyah, the monarch advised politicians to always play by the rules of the game so that the elections could be devoid of rancour and crisis. The traditional ruler, who expressed support for GOVERNORR ABDULFATAH AHMED’s re-election bid, urged the state government to address the plights of the emirate, particularly in the area of construction of a befitting palace for the area.
