WE PRAY November 30th, 2014 First Sunday of advent Prayers of the faithful We are the work of God’s hands, and so we now call upon the name of our Lord, who gives new life to all. 1. For or church, led by Pope Francis, as we watch and wait for the Lord anew this Advent season, Let us pray to the Lord 2. For peace within and among all nations, especially in the Middle East, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Korea, Let us pray to the Lord 3. For those who continue to live in hunger this week after Thanksgiving, especially young families and children, Let us pray to the Lord For all those throughout the world, individuals and communities, who suffer from HIV/AIDS and its effects, Let us pray to the Lord 4. We continue to pray for our children who walk from Central America to reach the border of the United States, and for the more than 400 children immigrants that are in our city; for authorities and the immigration system in this country so that they can provide them a supportive and fair treatment. Let us pray to the Lord 5. For our community of faith, as we prepare ourselves for the coming of the Lord by learning and doing God’s work among ourselves and in the world beyond these doors, Let us pray to the Lord Saturday. Nov. 29th: 7:00pm mass: For Leonor, Genaro, Ramona, Cleotilde Ortiz, that they may rest in peace, Let us pray to the Lord. Sunday Nov. 30th: 10:15 mass: For those praying to St. Jude Let us pray to the Lord. 4:30 mass: For Rebeca Zepeda, That she may rest in peace, Let us pray to the Lord. Lord, make us turn to you with all our hearts. Hear these our prayers, let us see your face, and we shall be saved. We make this prayer in the name of Jesus our Lord, whose coming we long for and whose day we await. Bulletin Announcements November 30 PARISH GIVING TREE Our parish giving tree has been placed. We will be collecting gifts for children from families who are in need. If you are able to help in this mission of love, we invite you to remove one of the tags from our “Giving Tree” Please return your gift to the rectory no later than Sunday, December 14. OLG FEAST NOVENA The Our Lady of Guadalupe Feast Day Novena begins December 3 and ends December 12. OLG STATUE RAFFLE Tickets are $2.00 they are now available at the parish office. The raffle will be on December 12. Remember to keep our campaign, “WE ARE-SOMOS GUADALUPE” in your prayers
