WE STAND CORRECTED... THE BACKPAY CHECKS WERE CLOSE TO $35,000, not $50K. OOPS! But does it make a difference! For Council to secretly pay themselves a big check of over $30k and also add another $10,000 a year to their salary! Just be honest... Be Proud of your Raise! Tell us all how you earned it and you deserve it! Well looks like you will get your chances. Albert Rose has put in a Protest Resolution to the raises for Council and it is on the agenda for this Thursday morning at about 10am. Teresa McCoy also has a protest in. They point out that this clearly violates the Charter and Albert asks that the raises be rescinded! Lets all support him! At least he and Bo Crowe with Teresa and hopefully others will want to do the right thing! Either go to the Council and observe, or tune in the tv to watch the vote!! And remember who justifies the breach of their oath of office and votes to keep the cash! I hope they have to clearly state how much of a raise they got AND how much was each of the Back Pay checks AND how was the Back Pay figured!! But most importantly where is the legal basis for Back Pay? This was a theft of Tribal $$$ and the Feds should come and charge all the ones who took the Back Pay with White Collar Theft!
