WE WIN!! Crown Ford in Nashville finally agreed to reimburse Lauren for contaminating her brake fluid and system during a routine oil change/tire rotation that caused her brakes to go out just days later. The entire braking system had to be replaced at another Nashville Ford dealership. Crown Ford had refused to take responsibility for it until we told them that sample fluid from the braking system had been sent to a lab, and the lab was willing to provide documentation stating that they feel it is, indeed, power steering fluid in the braking system. On Wednesday, Crown’s service manager called me to say they would agree to pay 100% of the cost of repair, towing, and rental car, if Lauren would sign a waiver that we would not pursue this any further. She gladly did, and picked-up the check yesterday. That’s all we were asking in the first place, just make it right. And, since we filed a claim with Ford Corporate offices, and told the story on 12+ rating and review websites to inform and warn the public, I feel a resolve with the whole issue. The public has been warned, and Lauren got her money and safe car back. Feeling very thankful this is over! Mickey S. Edwards and Lauren Edwardsau Big thanks and shout out to Stephen L Fowler for all of his scientific expertise with this! We would not have gotten these results without your help! Thank you SO MUCH! To find out how having power steering fluid accidentally poured into your braking fluid reservoir can kill you, look at this tutorial from ARCO Automotive. agcoauto/content/news/p2_articleid/251
