WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER THREE TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING: TROPICAL DEPRESSION SENIANG Issued at 5:00 p.m., Sunday,28 December 2014 Tropical DepressionSENIANG has slightly intensified as it continues to move closer towards Northeastern Mindanao. Location of Center: (as of 4:00 p.m.) 150 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur Coordinates: 8.2°N, 127.7°E Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 13 kph. Forecast Positions/Outlook: Monday afternoon: 110 km North Northeast of Lumbia Tuesday afternoon: 100 km West of Dipolog City Wednesday afternoon: 190 km Southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan Public Storm Warning signal #1 (winds of 30 - 60 kph is expected in at least 36 hours) Leyte, Southern Leyte, Camotes Island, Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental and Siquijor. Dinagat Province, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Siargao Island, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Compostela Valley, northern part of Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Norte, and Camiguin. Expected landfall: Monday morning in the vicinity of Tandag, Surigao del Sur. Estimated rainfall amount is from 7 – 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression. Residents in low lying and mountainous areas of the provinces with PSWS#1 as well as over Eastern Visayas and the rest of Mindanao especially Caraga Region are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Visayas and over the northern and eastern seaboards of Mindanao. Ocean waves may reach up to 4 meters.
