Today: A dull start to the day with hill fog and occasional light rain or drizzle in places. However, it will tend to brighten and warm up across many parts through the day, with some spells of sunshine developing eventually. Tonight: Mostly fine and dry across southern and eastern parts overnight. Further north and west, outbreaks of rain and strong winds developing, with the rain locally heavy across the northwest. Thursday: A rather cloudy and breezy morning with outbreaks of rain crossing many parts. Drier and brighter conditions spreading east throughout the day, reaching the far east by the evening. Outlook for Friday to Sunday: A good deal of fine, dry and increasingly warm weather is likely throughout the period. However northwestern parts may be cloudy at times with outbreaks of light rain or drizzle. UK Outlook for Sunday 7 Jul 2013 to Tuesday 16 Jul 2013: Conditions look likely to be fine, dry and settled across the UK throughout much of this period, with some long sunny spells by day. It may often be cloudier across some north western parts of the UK with a risk of some rain, particularly later next week. There is also a low risk of an afternoon heavy shower developing over hills through next week. Away from the far north west, it will be warm or very warm, and locally hot across central and southern areas by the middle part of next week. Towards the end of the period, it may turned more unsettled across northern areas, with occasional rain or showers. Elsewhere, the fine, dry and warm weather is expected to continue across many southern parts. UK Outlook for Wednesday 17 Jul 2013 to Wednesday 31 Jul 2013: Early indications are that the dry and settled weather from the first half of the month could continue across most parts of the UK. This implies below average rainfall and mainly above-average temperatures and above-average sunshine amounts. However, confidence decreases with time through this forecast period.
