WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE UK. from the MET OFFICE Headline: Mainly dry and sunny. Some rain in far northwest. Today: Much of England and Wales will be sunny and very warm. However cloud and outbreaks of rain over northwest Scotland and Northern Ireland will edge southeastwards. Cooler near coasts, with sea breezes forming, and also the odd patch of mist. Tonight: Staying cloudy and cooler in the northwest, although the patchy rain will fade away. Elsewhere, it will be fine and dry with a few mist patches in rural areas. Sunday: Very warm across England and Wales, and becoming locally hot inland in the south and east. However cloudier and cooler in the north, with the odd spot of rain possible. Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Mainly dry and sunny, especially in the south where it will stay very warm. Some northeastern coastal parts will be cloudier at times, with the risk of patchy light rain. UK Outlook for Wednesday 10 Jul 2013 to Friday 19 Jul 2013: Conditions look likely to be fine, dry and settled with some long sunny spells across much of the UK throughout this period. It may often be cloudier across some northwestern parts of the UK with a risk of a little light rain. There is also a low risk of an isolated afternoon heavy shower developing over hills later next week and perhaps some cloudier conditions around North Sea and Irish Sea coastal areas. Away from the far northwest, it will be warm or very warm, and locally hot over inland central and southern areas. Towards the end of the period, it may turn more unsettled across northern Britain, with occasional rain or showers, while mostly dry, fine and warm weather is expected to continue across many southern parts. UK Outlook for Saturday 20 Jul 2013 to Saturday 3 Aug 2013: Early indications are that the dry and settled weather from the first half of the month could continue across many parts of the UK, especially the south. This implies below average rainfall and mainly above average temperatures and above average sunshine amounts. However, confidence decreases with time through this forecast period.
