WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE UK. from the MET OFFICE Headline: Rain for many but brighter and warmer in places. Today: Rain will sink southeastwards across central and eastern Britain, turning heavy in parts of the east. It should be largely dry and warm in southwest England and south Wales, and later northern Britain, with warm sunny spells developing. Breezy. Tonight: Outbreaks of rain will clear southeastern England leaving a dry night for many but patchy drizzle will spread to Northern Ireland. Chilly in the north of the UK. Saturday: Patchy rain and drizzle spreading across Northern Ireland, Scotland, northwestern England and Wales. Otherwise dry with some sunny spells, particularly in the south and east where it will be warm. Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Plenty of dry weather around but occasional rain in northwestern Britain on Sunday. This spreading southeastwards and fragmenting on Monday. Further patchy rain spreading from the west during Tuesday. Breezy. UK Outlook for Thursday 11 Jul 2013 to Thursday 25 Jul 2013: With no particularly dominant weather type indicated for the middle part of July this period is considered, on balance, to most likely be characterised by fairly typical British summer weather. However there is a signal for drier than average conditions to prevail. As such some fine, dry and pleasant days are expected, especially to the south and east. Temperatures are then most likely to often be close to average, though conditions will feel pleasantly warm during spells of sunnier weather.
