WEATHER MODELS UPDATE - BOTH EUROPEAN AND AMERICAN WEATHER MODELS HINTING AT A COLD SPELL AFTER CHRISTMAS Both the European & American weather models this morning are showing a cold snap after Christmas for around st Stephens day (26th Dec) latest over night runs show cold air been dragged down from north and advancing south with the American model showing the cold spell lasting into the new year. WHAT CAN WE EXPECT IF THIS TREND DOES NOT CHANGE OUR SHOWS EVEN MORE SIGNs OF COLDER WEATHER Well at the minute charts are showing quite stormy wintry conditions as I hinted in my forecast the other day, day time temperatures would be pretty cold with some max day time temperatures at around 2C. Snowfall risk would also be good too with some northern areas seen a good coving of snow coming into the new year. From my update last night I told you I would let you know on any changes in the models and this change on the latest model runs would be a upgraded on a chance of seen a cold snap. At this stage I would have a 30% Confidence on this setup, this is due to the time scale of 9 days away yet but one thing for sure it does look like colder weather is on the way for the end of the December.
