WEATHER NEWS FOR MAURITIUS ISSUED AT 10h45 ON SATURDAY 10 JANUARY 2015. GENERAL SITUATION: (A). The low pressure area evolving to the north-west of Mauritius, has intensified into a tropical disturbance. (B). Active thundery clouds are still influencing the local weather. FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Scattered showers, moderate to heavy at times, accompanied with thunderstorms this afternoon. However few sunny spells are likely. The maximum temperature will vary between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius over the central plateau and will vary between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius along the coasts. Showers, thundery at times will still be present during the night and tomorrow morning. The minimum temperature will be around 21 degrees Celsius over the highgrounds and will vary between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius elsewhere. Wind east-north-easterly 20 km/h with gusts of the order of 50 km/h in showers. Sea moderate beyond the reefs, becoming gradually rough with swells. High Tides: 15h15 and tomorrow 04h06. Low Tides: 21h34 and tomorrow 10h18. Sunset : 18h55. Sunrise (Tomorrow): 05h40.
