WEATHER UPDATE: Below is a timelapse from our downtown Tallahassee towercam. 45 minutes of the severe weather sped up in 35 seconds to see whats been coming through the area. UPDATE ABOUT TORNADO WARNING: Weve fielded numerous calls about concerns of a tornado in the downtown area. Its great to see many people remaining aware and taking appropriate actions to keep safe. Heres an update on that situation provided by Chief Meteorologist Casanova Nurse (WTXL ABC 27) The earlier tornado warning expired at 10:30. Radar systems earlier showed the potential for winds strong enough to support the development a tornado around 10:00, but no evidence of tornado damage has been confirmed. A few storms within the next couple of hours may still produce occasional wind gusts and heavy rain, which has triggered local flooding in a few areas.
