WEATHER UPDATE: Hunt County remains under a winter weather advisory until 9 p.m. today, due to the potential for icy conditions on area roadways. Here is the latest forecast from the National Weather Service: Snow, freezing rain, and sleet. Some thunder is also possible. Steady temperature around 32. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible. Tonight: A 30 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. North wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Little or no snow accumulation expected. Monday Partly sunny, with a high near 41. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. AREAS NORTHWEST OF A LINE FROM CISCO TO WEATHERFORD AND SHERMAN WILL SEE SLEET...LIGHT SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN THROUGH 1 PM WITH ICE AND SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 4 INCHES POSSIBLE BEFORE ENDING. THE HEAVIER ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED FROM NOCONA AND GAINESVILLE SOUTHWARD TO BRECKENRIDGE...JACKSBORO...PALO PINTO AND EASTLAND. THE SLEET AND SNOW WILL MAKE DRIVING HAZARDOUS MOST OF THE DAY WITH BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES BEING ESPECIALLY SLICK. TRAVEL ON I 35 FROM DENTON INTO SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA WILL ALSO BE DANGEROUS AS THE SLEET ACCUMULATES. THE SLEET AND SNOW WILL MOVE EAST DURING THE DAY...IMPACTING THE NORTHERN AND WESTERN PORTIONS THE DFW METROPLEX WITH UP TO 1 INCH OF SLEET AND SNOW FROM MIDDAY THROUGH MID AFTERNOON. FARTHER EAST...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND SOME THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE EXPECTED.
