WEATHER UPDATE: Some clouds and light sprinkles are pushing into the area because of what was Tropical Storm Hernan near Baja. The flow is out of the SW and with that in place some clouds and some light moisture has moved into Kern County. We were thinking its position would hang more off shore and the impact would be minimal with some high clouds only, but it has pushed a little closer and thats why we have the clouds and a few sprinkles around the area. We are still banking on more sunshine by the afternoon, but I will be watching things closely throughout the day. We have also had a few thunderstorms develop this morning north of Kern County.
