My Fiancée Just Developed This Rude Way Of Talking Down On Me. She Says We Are Equal And That We Are Partners And That She Has Her Personal Life O Live And Will Not Allow Anybody To Tell Her What To Do. She Just Turned A Liberated Woman Over Night. We Have Attended Marriage Classes; We Have Paid For Wedding Reception Venue. But I Have Halted The Printing Of Cards Because I Am No Longer Sure If I Want To Go Into Partnership. I Want A Wife Not A Partner. I Want A Marriage Based On Christian Principles. I Cannot Tolerate This Liberated Women Attitudes, So I Want To Call Off The Wedding, Because That Will Be Living In Bondage. Frankly Tell Me What You Think. Thanks. ANSWER: My Brother, I Read Your Message And Was Really Touched Considering How Far Youve Gone With The Lady{Your Fiancée} But The Truth And The Lords Counsel Must Stand. You Said You Want A Marriage Based On Christian Principles But Permit Me To Ask; Did You Receive A Confirmation From The CHRIST Of The Christians Before Proposing To Your Fiancée? You See, We Dont Bring In Christ At The End When We Missed Putting Him First At The Beginning. That Notwithstanding, We Learn And Grow From Our Mistakes So I Will Say It Is Better You Re-Examine Your Feelings, Decisions And Conclude On The Right Path To Take Even Though It Might Break The Ladys Heart. But Like I Will Always Say, EVEN THOUGH IT HURTS, A BROKEN ENGAGEMENT IS BETTER THAN A BROKEN MARRIAGE COS GOD HATES DIVORCE! Marriage Is A Partnership But With Each Person Knowing His/Her Rightful Position And Fitting Into It. It Is Not The Worldly Partnership Where Partners Fight And Compete With Each Other. Marriage Is A Divine Partnership Where The Husband Has No Excuse But To Love His Wife As Christ Loved The Church And Gave Himself For Her; And Where The Wife Has No Excuse But To Submit Totally To Her Husband As If Shes Submitting Unto God Himself In Person! If Your Fiancée is Still Seeing Marriage As A Place Where Her Husband{You} Will Be Her Equal Partner And Has No Right To Tell Her What To Do Or How To Live Her Life, Then Sorry To Say That She Has Not Really Known Gods Great Plan/Purpose For Her Life In Making Her A Woman And A Help That Is Meet(Suitable) For The Man i.e. You In This Case. Finally, I Will Advise You To Think On This Very Well Without Sentiments Because Marrying The Wrong Woman Would Destroy Your Destiny. Many People Will Be Hurt, Angry Or Even Rain Abuses/Curses On You Depending On What You Finally Decide On But Know That Its Better To Do The Right Thing And Live With It Than Living With The Consequences Of Your Wrong Decision.
