WEEK OUTLOOK: Sundays GUSTY WINDS, HUGE SURF, and rain for parts of the state took due to a cold front and an area of high pressure that is building in is winding down...now, clearing and drying skies are set behind the front. Throughout the weekend, Ive been tracking the tail-end of a cold front that was associated with a large band of clouds (about 150 miles wide) that were deemed showery clouds. We will still see a few W/M showers during the overnight hours into the AM. There was about 2.8 that was collected in the rain bucket over the Koolau (the winner of the rain totals). Also a new record low max was set in Lihue (only 71). The front is lingering over Hawaii Island where A WIND ADVISORY remains up for the eastern half of the state through Monday AM. There will be one more day of breezy conditions, then we will be back to a more trypical trade wind pattern. Surfers: wind will make it choppy tomorrow with rough seas across the island chain with a High Surf Advisory. Be safe.
