WEEKEND BLUES #78 WATCHING AFRIMA 2014 (AFRICA MUSIC AWARD) A UN representative spoke about the fight against Ebola and was supposed to present an award to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. As she mentioned Felas name she looked up and said, is Fela here? As in, wheres Fela come and collect your award o! Hehehe! The crowd burst into laughter! The woman clearly didnt know who Fela was! But the strange thing was that as Yeni, Felas eldest child stepped up to collect it, she stumbled and fell on the stage! E be like say Abami Eda hear the woman misyarn o! Lol Quickly picking herself up Yeni laughingly told the embarrassed UN woman that it was assumed she should know who Fela was. So far, the whole show is not so well organized. Most of the award winners no even come sef, DJ just dey miscue song...AIT audio sef come dey mess up. And whats this thing this Cossy Orjiakor is wearing? Why not just wear swimming trunks? Smh. But Tubaba na still Tubaba...too much a guy! Always dominating the stage with his larger-than-life personality.
