WEIRD RUMOR OF THE MONTH: Sony is looking into making an Aunt May movie, when she was young and also doing espionage work. Now, if was present-day Aunt May, played by Sally Field, it might make more sense in the Amazing Spider-Man movie universe. They could have her go undercover, with Liam Neeson as her handler, Helen Mirren as the tough-but-firm boss, Angela Lansbury and Betty White as sweet-but-tough informants who help coach Sally Field, and Robert DeNiro as the main villain. THAT, I would go see. This young May business? Whatever, Sony. Why not make a movie about the people who were ACTUALLY doing espionage in your movies? Why not them?
