WELL I DID SOMETHING I SELDOM DO, GO TO BED AT 7 P.M. I woke up refreshed at midnight and decided to get up and visit with you folks. Fiorella Scarsellone shared this video that really upset me, so I took action. I ask you to do the same. I have included my message to OUR GENERATION , MASTERMIND TOYS for you to read. Dont know if Im charged because of my nap or hurt because this is a Canadian Company. Maybe both. I surprised myself with how angry I became, guess I have to look at that part of me that behaves in the same way, which I will honestly do. However, here is my RANT to this company. Would love to know you are taking action as well. _________________________________________________________________ HELLO MASTERMIND TOYS RE: OUR GENERATION DOLLS I am writing to tell you how ashamed I am to be a Canadian right now! I watched a video on FaceBook by Zenobia McRae which showed OUR GENERATION dolls. Pretty, well made, with accessories – book and extra clothing. ALL dolls had the accessories EXCEPT THE BLACK DOLL!!! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL OUR GENERATION OF BLACK CHILDREN, THE REST OF US? ! I decided to look up OUR GENERTATION dolls online and found it was a MASTERMIND TOY STORE … CANADIAN!!! I am SO ambarrassed! I have traveled the world and found Canadians were so loved because they were friendly, inclusive, kind, polite. THIS is NONE of those things. Why are there NO accessories with the BLACK OUR GENERATION DOLLS? Please don’t tell me TARGET, where Zenobia made her video, chose to remove the books and extra clothing for the black dolls. I tried leaving a message on your FB page and it disappeared. I am trying again. Because of this, I will NOT ‘like’ your page as much as I would love to support a Canadian Company and I will suggest all my FB friends do the same until you have changed this. I do NOT want a message to tell me you are doing this. I want a video to SHOW that you HAVE done so AND contact Zenobia McRae as well. You will see her video below. Shame on you, especially during this season of oneness, family, kindness, sharing, healing, CHRISTmas. I hope you can feel my displeasure. EVERYONE IS OUR BROTHER/SISTER, MOTHER, FATHER, FAMILY! BEING CANADIAN MEANS INCLUDING ALL! Yes, some don’t act it, however, what you’ve done does NOT help bring us together, it demeans the blacks and says they are not worthy of books and extra clothing.
