WELL WISHES UPDATE: Chiarian to Have Another Surgery Katie - TopicsExpress

WELL WISHES UPDATE: Chiarian to Have Another Surgery Katie Rose Schuldt, who had decompression surgery on June 30, will be going under the knife again soon. My second brain surgery will be scheduled tomorrow, Schuldt told the ICA Newsroom today. This most likely will be on Monday or done some other time next week. Schuldts MRI on July 30 confirmed a CSF (cerebral spinal fluid) leak and it needs to be repaired. She has already been on bed rest since the June 30 surgery. The first brain surgery was a little bit of a surprise and now a second brain surgery within six weeks really bothers me, she said. It was very hard the first time as I was extraordinarily sick with a fever and non-stop being ill in the ICU. I can only pray this time is better. Only the strong can put up with Chiari. In addition to obviously wanting to feel better, Schuldt hopes to go to a technical college on Aug. 20. School is hard enough and I hope to go to work again some day, she added. Im taking almost all online courses this semester because of the obvious. I have to go to campus relatively soon somehow to fill out medical papers to allow me to miss a little bit. I want to be a counselor/therapist. Katie Rose Schuldt said it best that only the strong can put up with Chiari. Fortunately, she is a strong woman and all of us at the International Chiari Association (ICA) hopes that she feels better soon.
