WELL WISHES UPDATE: We have updates on three Chiarians. Each has a completely different situation and we hope that you remember each of them: *** Chloe Tomlinson, who had an appointment with the pain management doctor and neurologist on Tuesday, has been admitted to the psych ward. The 17-year-old young lady has had a very difficult Chiari Journey and tried to commit suicide four weeks ago. She is still suicidal and needs your thoughts and prayers. *** Abby Bryant, the eight-year-old girl who had her third decompression surgery on Tuesday, is improving. On Wednesday, the ICA Newsroom reported that she does unfortunately have a small leak of spinal fluid and would be spending some time in the ICU on diuretics (as well as antibiotics) before moving to the special care unit. Abby had a horrible reaction to the diuretic they gave her to slow production of fluid and help the spinal fluid leak. Fortunately, she is getting plenty of sleep. Abby is eating slow, but she is eating. Doctors are hoping that Abby can be moved out of ICU today to the special care floor. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers! said Kat Bryant, who is Abbys mother. *** We have GOOD NEWS regarding Justin Jones, who had successful decompression surgery on Monday. He could be going home as early as today. The International Chiari Association (ICA) thanks everyone for their continued good thoughts and/or prayers for these three Chiarians.
