WERE GONNA MAKE WITH DAD UPDATE: A Personal moment to share (Chronicling Our faith the Size of a Mustard Seed) Dad had his first radiation treatment. He will receive his second one tomorrow. First I want to say we are so overwhelmed by the support of your love and prayers, phone calls, texts, and cards. We just keep shaking our heads and saying, Wow, God is so good! He is using all of you to keep us encouraged, peaceful, and even having moments of just plain ole silly stupid laughter while being tired, frustrated at times, and whatever other emotion that is happening. Dad has not seen all of your responses yet. He gets tired so easily and I havent had a chance to log onto facebook with him yet, but I will as soon as this ride as he calls it slows down a bit. However, this evening I shared with him what many of you have been saying at different times such as these comments: Laura, youre father is one of the nicest men I have ever known! Ray, has always been so kind and caring. He is always willing to help out whenever he could even when he had to sacrifice a lot to help. Cant find many like him today! Laura, I just love your dad! He is one of a kind! I shared these thoughts of others with him and he sat there with his lip starting to quiver and then the tears came. I told him to go ahead and cry and enjoy the moment of being loved and appreciated. Thank you everyone for not waiting for a funeral to tell my Dad how much you love him!!!! It matters NOW!!! If you know of someone in your life that is like my Dad, tell them how special they are. You might not think it makes a difference, but it does. If you have been the privilege of a blessing, be a blessing by letting them know! May God teach our hearts to be kind to one another! Thank you all for your love and kindness!!!
