WERE HIRING! Full-time and part-time Animal Care Technician positions available in a very busy animal shelter. Weekends a must, schedule may include some evenings. Job requirements include the ability to lift 40 pounds and be able to stand, bend & stoop throughout the entire workday. Candidates must be physically capable of safely walking & handling animals with a broad range of behaviors. Valid drivers license and clean driving record required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Job duties include providing quality customer service, facility & grounds sanitation and maintenance, direct animal care, feeding, handling, vaccinating, examining, exercising, and enriching resident dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, and pet birds. Qualified candidates must be able to multitask, be self-motivated, task oriented, and be able to fulfill job duties with minimal supervision. Candidate must be comfortable & experienced in a variety of customer service interactions and enjoy serving the public. $9 an hour to start. Position offers full benefits package after probationary period, including health and life insurance policies, retirement plan, paid time off, and buy-in options for dental, accident & disability insurance policies.
