Bakosoro Confirms He Is Under No Threat; Urges Positive Discussion Western Equatoria State (WES) Governor, Joseph Bangasi Bakosoro [File] By Waakhe Simon Wudu JUBA – July 1, 2014 [Gurtong] - He further called on South Sudanese to embrace a culture of positive discussion of the affairs of the country and contribute their efforts towards nation building. The Governor spoke to press yesterday, after arriving in Juba for talks with the President and the leadership of the central government over rumors which he said would send the fledgling nation into confusion. Bakosoro’s call came following unsubstantiated rumors which have circulated in the media in recent days, claiming that President Salva Kiir and his army Chief of Staff had planned to assassinate the three leaders of the Equatorian states as a result of differences over governance. Bakosoro expressed dismay over the rumor, which he said was created by enemies of peace in South Sudan, and aimed at creating confusion in the country. If there are some individuals among us who do not love this country, who do not like to be in the country, it is better to resign and sit in your house, rather than going around and causing a lot of insecurity, suspiciousness and hatred among us,” he said.[ South Sudan has been crisis since last December, when a political dispute within the ruling party, SPLM, escalated and spilled across the country. International agencies estimate that, as a result of the conflict, 10,000 people have lost their lives and a further one million displaced both within the country and to neighbouring states. In addition, development in many parts of the country has been brought to a standstill
