TROPICAL STORM 18W (PHANFONE), located approximately 372 kms SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF MISAWA AB, JAPAN, has tracked NORTHEASTWARD at 74 kph over the past six hours. TS 18W is expected to continue accelerating northeastward and decay as an extra-tropical cyclone over water. At 5 PM, 6 October 2014 position near 16.1N 140.9E. TYPHOON 19W (VONGFONG), located approximately 989 kms SOUTH OF IWO TO, JAPAN, has tracked WEST-NORTHWESTWARD at 31 kph over the past six hours.
