WESTMORLAND HOUSE Bristol city Council approves Knightstone as preferred developer. At Tuesdays Mayors meeting BCC approved Knightstone as the preferred developer and committed council to the Compulsory Purchase Order. As expected the Fifth Capital a front organisation for Comer Homes the owner of the site proposed the introduction of and alternative scheme for consideration to BCC. Transcript of YouTube Movie of BCC event Marc Pennick of Fifth Capital turned up and spoke. His slot is at 2515 Rough transcript is: I am the owner of Fifth Capital which has secured an interest in the site. Plans to come fwd with a proposed mixed use devt. Recognise long history that has blighted the area for over 27 yrs and the history on the site. i have appointed a full team of architects, consultants, ecologists etc. Full team in place working on the site. Bringing forward proposals that will run with local amenity groups, the members and by working together we can remove the development forward better than obviously taking it down a compulsive order (sic) strategy. Prepared to meet with members and amenity groups at any time. We have the funds and the team to bring this forward. Look forward to meeting people in the coming weeks and days. Mark Bradshaws piece and Cabinet comments are at 4200. See YouTube https://youtube/watch?v=JV0RkVl7FqA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
