WESTMOUNT NEIGHBOURHOOD RECONSTRUCTION Westmount residents and property owners are invited to an open house to learn about neighbourhood reconstruction scheduled to begin in 2015. Westmount reconstruction is being done as a Complete Streets pilot project. There will be an opportunity at this meeting to discuss roadway design possibilities specific to the community’s local character. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 6-8:30 pm (presentation at 7 pm) Westglen Elementary School 13215 113A Street City employees will provide information and answer questions about preliminary design, the local improvement process, Complete Streets guidelines and reconstruction timelines. Neighbourhood reconstruction includes: • Reconstruction or resurfacing of roadways • Streetlight upgrades • Reconstruction of sidewalks, curbs and gutters Neighbourhood reconstruction is part of the Building Great Neighbourhoods Initiative, which is a long-term program to improve neighbourhood livability through the renewal and enhancement of local infrastructure.
