WEVE POSTED WHAT DOES BEING SAVED MEAN AND WHAT DOES BEING BORN AGAIN MEAN...BUT HOW DO YOU BECOME SAVED? READ ON As Christians we cannot make the mistake of thinking everyone knows what we know. 50 years ago most knew what it meant to be saved and how to become saved. We are now dealing with the generations of the sixtys on where nothing was taught in the schools or in the home and they didnt attend church. So how do they know? They dont and that is where us older Christians come in. We must be the voice of God, we must be the preacher, we must be the teacher, and we must love them into Christianity...not condemn them into it. John 3:16-18 (Jesus speaking of Himself) 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (KJV) How do you become among the saved? So how do you become saved? Thats the easiest thing in the world, even a child can do it, and it doesnt cost a thing. That does not mean it is cheap however, for Jesus paid a mighty and dear price for you to have the way to salvation and eternal life open to you! John 14:6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) Just pray to God somewhere alone, and tell Him that you want the everlasting life that He promised all whom believe upon Jesus. Tell Him that you are a new believer and that you want Him to pour out the Living Water upon your soul. Ask Him to help you more fully understand His perfect plan and to help mature the small seed of faith that is growing within you. He will, He promised that He would. And God, from the foundation of the world, made it impossible that He could lie: Heb 6:13-20 (Apostle Paul speaking) 13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. 17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (KJV) And when you pray you dont have to kneel down or lay on your face, get comfortable and just talk to Him like He was your father, for He is your Father, He is your Heavenly Father who created your very soul. When you pray, you always pray to the God, and after the prayer you tell God that you ask these things, or give this thanks... in the name of Jesus Christ. That documents that you are a believer in the only begotten Son of God, Savior, Jesus Christ. And in the name of Jesus Christ ask God to forgive your sins. God knows all your sins, He can read your mind, but when you repent of the sin, He promises to remember it no more - It is blotted out of the book, it is blotted out of the book that you shall be judged from on Judgment day when we all (believers and non-believers alike) individually stand before God and give account of our lives {Rev 20:11-15}. Heb 10:10-20 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (KJV) How do you repent? Will be our next topic...so stay tuned for the next teaching.>>>PT
