WGH has one of the elite centers for the entire class of 2017 in Derek Culver. Last night, he went up against Medinas Jon Teske, a 70 junior who is already verbally committed to play at the University of Michigan and today, I cant find a decent article or detailed box score (with rebounds, blocks, assists, etc.) on the game. Culver scored 9 points & Teske had 13, but thats all that we know about two of the nations hottest prospects? I was there, so my feelings arent hurt (for lack of better terms). That said, who knows where these two (or anybody else from WGH or Medina for that matter) will end up in their basketball careers. I know that the weather wasnt the greatest (it was fine on the way up), but North Canton isnt that far from either school. It was a great game and ultimately, the media (Tribune, Medina Gazette, Plain dealer, etc.) are the ones that missed out. Moving forward, I hope that WGH will continue to be in the Dunk 4 Diabetes event in the future. Walsh University continues to do a great job of hosting it!
