WHAT A PEACEFUL CONGRESS; The Brong-Ahafo Regional Delegate’s Congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), ended peacefully in Sunyani at the weekend. Though there was little misunderstanding among supporters of some candidates due to alleged infractions prior to the voting, the party leadership in the region was able to bring the situation under control. About 400 delegates of the party, including some Members of Parliament (MPs), as well as Municipal and District Chief Executives, drawn from the 27 constituencies in the region, cast their votes under an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. There was some few police and military personnel to maintain law and order, at the forecourt of the residency, where the elections were conducted.
