WHAT A PREDICAMENT I walked out on my balcony and close the glass door behind me and I hear That all too familiar click. I instantly realize what just happened. The lock was in the locked position before I pushed the door closed and now I am Locked out on the balcony. Ok. What do I do? No one is home and I don’t have my phone. Alright I can climb down the railings to the girl’s balcony below and knock on her door? No not a good move for her to see a black man on her balcony in P.J.s. Ok well I can climb down 50ft to the ground right? Wrong. I’m no spring chicken I could fall and make matters worse. Let’s give this more thought. I stay on the balcony till my main squeeze comes home? I call my lieutenant and tell him I won’t make duty cuz I’m locked out on my balcony. Yea right like he will believe that. So I sit looking out over the balcony and give more thought to my predicament. Then I remember. Inside the utility room is my Leatherman multi-purpose tool. I look at the lock and say ok, I can take this lock apart. After about 5 minutes I have the lock apart and whew I’m back inside. What a relief.
