WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT LAST NIGHT WITH HELLHOUND TRAIL AT THE WING CO IN CAMERON! I Wish All Of You Could Have Been There. Earlier In The Week, We Realized That Our Drummer Rodney Finchum Was Not Going To Be Able To Play With Us This Weekend. Rodney Had To Take His Mom To Florida Because Her Brother Passed Away.. I Debated As To Whether We Should Do The Show As An Acoustic Event and Decided To Go Ahead With The Show. In The 20 Years Of HELLHOUND TRAIL, We Have Never Done A Show Without Rodney. He Is Our Backbeat and The Drive That Propels The Band. Rodney Didnt Want Us To Cancel The Show Either. Anyway, About 4:15 Yesterday . . . Something Really Amazing Started To Unfold. I Was Talking To My Friend BRITTON BUCHANAN From The Band BRICK CITY SOUTH About The Upcoming Show. I Told Britton That If He Wanted To That He Could Come Sit In On A Few Songs. He Asked Me What We Were Going To Play. At 4:19 - I Sent Him The List Of Songs For Set One At 4:20 - He Sent Me A Message Saying I Can Play Those At 4:21 - I Sent Him The List Of Songs For Set Two At 4:22 - He Sent Me A Message Saying Those Too At 4:23 - I Sent Him The List For Set Three At 4:24 - He Said Ill Be There We Got To The Wing Co around 6:30 P.M. Britton Showed Up With His Acoustic Guitar. Everybody Grabbed Something To Eat and Relax Then We Set Up The Equipment On Stage. At 9 P.M. We Began The Show. Except For Three Songs That Me and Mike Do By Ourselves and 1 Song I Did By Myself, BRITTON Sat In and Played on EVERY Other Song. With Him On Acoustic Guitar, It Also Gave Mike The Freedom To Cut Loose On His Acoustic and His Electric. Mike Was On Fire Last Night! Trevor Handled The Bass and Backing Vocals and Britton Stepped Right Up and Did Backing Vocals Too. Me and Him Also Did Duet Vocals on Mustang Sally At Midnight, We All Left The Stage. I Dont Know Who Was The More Excited . . . Me, The Band Or Britton. For Someone To Just Be Able To Come and Sit In With Us On All Of Our Cover Songs Is Really Something Hard To Do Since We Dont Always Play The Songs Like The Way They Were Recorded. But BRITTON Walked Up On Stage and Jumped Right In There With Us and Did A Fantastic Job. He Paid Attention To What Mike Was Doing On Guitar and He Made Sure To Hang In There With Him and He Played His Heart Out. BY THE WAY . . . DID I FORGET TO TELL YOU THAT BRITTON IS ONLY 14 YEARS OLD! He Is The Same Age Now That Our Bassist Trevor Finchum Was When HeJoined Our Band After He Asked His Dad Rodney 7 Years Ago If He Thought I Would Let Him Try Out For The Band. Me, Mike and Trevor Want To Thank BRITTON ( and His Dad Todd Who Brought Him Out To Play With Us ) For Making Last Night Such A Special Night For Us. Before The Show, The Band Was Really Missing Rodney and Wishing He Was With Us On Stage. Britton Came Along and With Rodneys Spirit With Us . . . HELLHOUND TRAIL Had One AWESOME Show Last Night Everybody At The Restaurant/Bar Were Having A Great Time and They Rocked It Out With Us All Night Kara, The Manager At Wing Co Came Up To Me After The Show And Smiled And Said So Much For The Acoustic Thing . . . I Dont Think That Stops You Guys From Rockin I Just Laughed With Her and Said Acoustic Or Electric . . . THIS BAND ROCKS! It Wasnt Till I Was On The Way Home Last Night That I Remembered . . . Oh Lord, I Forgot To Post Last Nights PSYCHEDELIC SATURDAY FLIGHT Sorry Guys LOL
