In the Canadian House of Commons, opposition members regularly ask written questions of the Conservative government. Fair game, this is part of the democratic process. But now, government MPs have begun asking their own questions as to how much it costs the taxpayer to answer opposition questions. One question from a Liberal Party MP cost $117,118. to answer said the government. The Liberals then asked how much it cost the taxpayer to answer this question that cost over $100,000. - it was $6500.76. A government MP then asked how much it cost to answer opposition questions 264 through 644. To date, no MP has asked how much it costs to answer the question about how much it cost the government to answer the MPs question about how much it cost the government to answer earlier questions.
