WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM OUR PRIME MINISTERS We expect our PMs to be honest, committed and dedicated to take the nation forward. At the same time we expect our PMs to be observe logic, reason and rationality and do not speak or do anything that goes against commnon sense. Our PM Modi, while speaking at a hospital recently, said that that there was genetic science in Mahabharta age which made it possible for Karnas birth not from his mothers womb. While refering to Ganesha he said that there must have been a plastic surgeon who made it possible to graft elephantss head on the body of Ganesha after he was beheaded by Shivji. Mythology has many things which are not rational and scientific. Thus, Modys observations cited above are not rational. Modi comes very near to Dinanath Batra who says that stem cell was known in the days of Kunti and there was television in the age of Mahabharta and motor car existed in the Vedic age. It is all nonsense and surprisingly Batras books are prescribed in Gujarat schools. Our Constitution talks of scientific temper and Modys observations are against it. This news was blacklisted by our media and not a single scientist of our country has challenged Modys views. If Indian society has to advance, people must have courage to speak the truth.
